Cordillera. An Indigenous-inspired culinary journey, from the Andes to the Santa Cruz Mountains.
On Saturday, December 12, two chefs bring those traditions to one table.
Chef Diego Félix brings the ancestral ingredients and traditions of Andean cuisine. Chef Christina Lonewolf, of Chieftess, celebrates Indigenous Californio cooking and the pre-colonial foodways of California’s Central Coast. It’s the first time they’ve cooked together.
The evening opens with a glass of Scratch Blanc de Blanc and two passed bites, one from each chef. Next comes a first course from one chef and a second from the other. They come together for the main course and dessert. Every course is served family style, at one long table for 40 guests, and paired with wines chosen by Scratch.
Two chefs. Two regions. One connection through food, land, and tradition.
Saturday, December 12, at Scratch Wines in Carmel Valley. $155 plus tax per person. Seats are limited. Full refund minus a $10 fee up to 14 days before; transferable after that.
